Grabada entre marzo y abril de 1975 en The Record Plant in New York City, NY. Según Mike Appel, Jon Landau no quería incluir MEETING ACROSS THE RIVER en el disco Born To Run y sugería incluir LINDA LET ME BE THE ONE y/o LONELY NIGHT IN THE PARK en su lugar.  Tras permanecer escondida durante más de tres décadas, finalmente, el canal “Satellite Radio Sirius” la emitió como parte del especial "E Street Radio" durante tres meses, del 1 de Noviembre de 2005 hasta el 31 de enero de 2006.
