Not a song about the Wild West but about the city of Buffalo during the Erie Canal era. The Buffalo Gals are sporting women who paraded their charms for the arriving river barges. A hundred years later, Frank Capra made it the theme song for ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’, where Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart sing it quite innocently.

No es una canción sobre el Salvaje Oeste sino sobre la ciudad de Búfalo durante la época del Erie Canal. Las chicas de Búfalo hacían de anzuelo mostrando sus encantos a las barcazas que llegaban por el río.
