BRING ‘EM HOME
Pete Seeger wrote ‘Bring Them Home’ in 1965 as an anthem for the Vietnam
anti-war movement. This version includes one new verse written by record
producer Jim Musselman during the invasion of Iraq . I wrote two verses and added
several from the classic Civil War song, ‘When Johnny Comes Marching Home’.
If you love this land of the free
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
It will make the politicians sad, I know
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
They wanna tangle with their foe
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
They wanna test their grand theories
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
With the blood of you and me
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Now we'll give no more brave young lives
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
For the gleam in someone's eyes
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
The men will cheer and the boys will shout
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Yeah and we will all turn out
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
The church bells will ring with joy
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
To welcome our darlin' girls and boys
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
We willl lift our voice in song
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
When Johnny comes marching home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home
Bring them back from overseas
Bring 'em home, bring 'em home

TRAEDLOS A CASA
Comes Marching Home’.
Si amáis esta tierra de libertad
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Traedlos del otro lado del mar
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Provocará tristeza en los políticos
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Quieren enredar con su enemigo
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Quieren probar sus grandes teorías
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Con vuestra sangre y la mía
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
No daremos más vidas de jóvenes valientes
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Para iluminar los ojos de alguien
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Los hombres reirán y los niños gritarán
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Sí, y todos se alegrarán
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Las campanas repicarán de alegría
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Para recibir a nuestros niños y niñas
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Alzaremos la voz en canciones
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Cuando Johnny regrese a casa
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
Traedlos del otro lado del mar
Traedlos a casa, traedlos a casa
2006
